DAY 7 — Record the Evidence of God’s Nearness
Scripture: Psalm 34:8 (NIV) “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.”
Focus Thought: Hunger grows when we notice His movements.
God is not distant or indifferent—He invites us to taste and see. That means His goodness is not only something we believe in our minds; it is something we experience in real life. Many people miss God’s nearness, not because He is absent, but because they are not paying attention.
Recording God’s activity trains your heart to recognise Him. When you write down moments where you sensed God—peace in prayer, a timely word, unexpected provision, conviction, comfort, or a gentle prompting—you build spiritual memory. You begin to see patterns of God’s faithfulness. And what you remember, you return to.
Gratitude strengthens hunger. Testimony fuels desire. When you take refuge in Him and reflect on His goodness, your heart is stirred again to seek Him more. The evidence of His nearness becomes the fuel for deeper pursuit.
Action for Today Write down moments this week where you sensed God’s nearness.
Include small things too—sometimes the quiet moments are the clearest.
Reflection Question Where did you experience God’s filling and goodness this week?
Prayer: Lord, thank You that You are good and near. Help me to recognise Your movements and to remember Your faithfulness. Teach me to taste and see Your goodness daily. Let testimony strengthen my hunger and deepen my trust in You. Amen.
Journal Prompt What are three clear “evidences” from this week that God was with me—and what did they reveal about Him?
Weekly Declaration Today, I choose to hunger for God. I set my heart toward Him. I remove distractions. I make space for His Presence. I delight in His Word. I follow His Spirit. I worship with desire. I hunger for God — and He will fill me.
