26 July 2021 - God that we serve is greater than any sickness

Psalm 107: 18 (NLT) “They couldn’t stand the thought of food, and they were knocking on death’s door.”

Sickness is another of the calamities of this life which gives us an opportunity of experiencing the goodness of God. Currently we hear about sickness daily, due to the corona virus. The God that we serve is greater than any sickness.

The definition for sickness is to be in a disordered, weakened, or unsound condition. In other words, when one is sick, there is something that is within that individual that is out of alignment, lacking strength, and the internal infrastructure is fragile.

Psalm 107:19-23 (NKJV) “Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. 20 He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. 21 Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! 22 Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing.”

God is the great healer. Exodus 23:25b (NKJV) “And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.”

Isaiah 53:4-5 (AMP) “Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains (of punishment)… And with the stripes (that wounded) Him we are healed and made whole.”

Psalm 107:20 (NKJV) “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”

Isaiah 38:16 AMP “O Lord, by these things men live, and in all these is the life of my spirit; restore me to health and let me live!”

“Let it be a settled fact: It is God's will to heal you. You have a right to healing as well as forgiveness when you believe.

God said: I am the Lord who heals you.

Ex. 15:26b (NKJV) “For I am the Lord who heals you.”

If God said this, and God cannot lie, He meant it. What God says is true. So, healing is yours. Healing is part of the gospel and is to be preached throughout all the world and to every creature, to the end of the world.

Matthew 28:20 NKJV “teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
