21 July Psalm 82

V8(MSG) You’ve got the whole world in your hands!

The phrase He’s got the whole world in His hands celebrates the fact that God controls the destiny of everyone and everything. Throughout the Bible, we see God’s awe-inspiring care for creation at work. It is clear from the Bible that God is in control of the whole world.

Job 12:7-12(MSG) states: “But ask the animals what they think—let them teach you; let the birds tell you what’s going on. Put your ear to the earth—learn the basics. Listen—the fish in the ocean will tell you their stories. Isn’t it clear that they all know and agree that GOD is sovereign, that he holds all things in his hand— Every living soul, yes, every breathing creature? Isn’t this all just common sense, as common as the sense of taste? Do you think the elderly have a corner on wisdom, that you have to grow old before you understand life?

Similarly, Psalm 95:3-7(MSG) states: And why? Because GOD is the best, High King over all the gods. In one hand he holds deep caves and caverns, in the other hand grasps the high mountains. He made Ocean—he owns it! His hands sculpted Earth! So come, let us worship: bow before him, on your knees before GOD, who made us! Oh yes, he’s our God, and we’re the people he pastures, the flock he feeds.

There is nothing in the world that is beyond God’s control; everything is in His hands.

Exodus 15:11(NLT) asks: “Who is like you among the gods, O LORD— glorious in holiness, awesome in splendor, performing great wonders?

The verse You’ve got the whole world in your hands helps us see that we can trust God to help us in any situation.

Philippians 4:6(NLT) advises: Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done.

Remember, He has the whole world in His hands; thus, nothing is impossible for God.
