17 April Ecclesiastes 12

Ecclesiastes 12 emphasises the importance of remembering God in youth before the challenges of aging set in. It reflects on the inevitability of death, the fleeting nature of life, and concludes with the affirmation that fearing God and keeping His commandments is humanity's ultimate duty.

Remember God in Your Youth Ecclesiastes 12:1 (AMP) states, "Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth , before the evil days come or the years draw near when you will say , 'I have no enjoyment and delight in them.'"

The days of youth are vital for serving God, as they represent a unique opportunity to grow spiritually and make meaningful choices. In youth, you often feel invincible, with a future brimming with possibilities. This stage of life allows you to learn and cultivate a relationship with God, offering your best efforts to His service.

Proverbs 22:6 (AMP) reminds us, "Train up a child in the way he should go , and even when he is old he will not depart from it." Instilling godly values early on sets a foundation for lifelong faith. Psalm 119:9 (AMP) poses the question, "How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping watch according to Your word ." Young men, filled with strength and energy, can choose to channel that vitality into righteousness.

Time Waits For No One However, time waits for no one. As youth fades, you may find strength and memory slipping away faster than anticipated. The vigour of youth is fleeting, and life can present challenges that diminish physical and mental resilience.

So, remember your Creator in the days of your youth, for these moments are precious and pivotal in shaping your spiritual journey. Embrace this time to establish a lasting connection with God.
