WEEK 3 – INTIMACY: “Spend Time with God”
“Come near to God and He will come near to you.” — James 4:8a (NIV)
Intimacy is not built in crowds but cultivated in quiet. You can’t host someone you never spend time with. The Presence of God grows stronger in hearts that linger with Him — not out of duty but delight. The more time you spend in His Presence, the more you reflect His likeness.
Practical Application:
• Set aside a daily appointment with God — a time to listen, not only speak.
• Read one Psalm slowly this week and allow it to become your prayer.
• End each day by thanking Him for His companionship.
Prayer: Jesus, draw me near. Teach me to love Your Presence more than any platform. Let our fellowship become my greatest joy and my heart’s highest treasure. Amen.

DAY 1 — God Desires Fellowship With You
Scripture: Revelation 3:20 (NIV) “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”
Focus Thought: God longs for a relationship with you, not ritual.
From the very beginning, God’s heart has been for relationship, not routine. In Revelation 3:20, Jesus speaks personally—He stands at the door and knocks. This is not the picture of a distant God demanding performance, but of a loving Saviour inviting fellowship.
The door He knocks on is not the door of the church—it is the door of your heart. He desires closeness, conversation, and shared life. Fellowship with Jesus is not built on religious activity, but on intentional presence. When you open the door, He promises to come in and eat with you—a picture of intimacy, friendship, and an ongoing relationship.
God is still knocking today—not because He is absent, but because He wants more of you.
*Action for Today:* Begin your quiet time by simply saying, “Jesus, I welcome You.”
Pause, become aware of His presence, and invite Him into your thoughts, emotions, and plans for the day.
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for desiring a relationship with me. I open my heart to You today. Come in, dwell with me, and help me walk closely with You. Teach me to recognise Your voice and respond with an open heart. Amen.
Reflection Question: Where have you sensed Jesus knocking for deeper fellowship in your life?
Journal Prompt: Write about one area where God may be inviting you into a deeper relationship. What distractions, routines, or fears might be keeping the door partially closed? What would it look like to open it fully today?
