DAY 6 — Pursue Holiness in Your Relationships
Scripture: Hebrews 12:14 (NIV) “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.”
Focus Thought: Holiness is not only personal — it affects how we treat others.
Holiness is not lived out in isolation. It is revealed most clearly in our relationships. The writer of Hebrews connects holiness with peace, reminding us that our walk with God is reflected in how we treat the people around us.
It is often easier to appear holy in private devotion than to live holy in difficult relationships. Yet God calls us to make every effort—to pursue peace intentionally, even when it is uncomfortable. This does not mean compromising truth, but choosing love, humility, and forgiveness.
Unresolved conflict, bitterness, and unforgiveness can quietly harden the heart and block our spiritual sensitivity. When we pursue relational holiness, we create space for God’s presence to be seen through us. Our relationships become a testimony of His grace at work within us.
Holiness that does not transform our relationships is incomplete. God desires hearts that reflect His character—gracious, forgiving, and peace-loving.
Action for Today Ask the Holy Spirit where apology, forgiveness, or reconciliation is needed.
Take one practical step today—send a message, make a call, or release someone in prayer.
Reflection Question How is God calling you into relational holiness today?
Prayer: Lord, search my relationships and my heart. Show me where I need to forgive, reconcile, or walk in greater peace. Help me to reflect Your holiness through love, humility, and grace toward others. Amen.
Journal Prompt Which relationship is God highlighting, and what step of obedience is He asking me to take?
