10 March 2024 - Choose life part 2

You have a choice today; you can choose life and prosperity or death and destruction. Listen closely, the power of choice sits with us. The choices we make have a direct impact on our lives. You hold the steering wheel of your destiny.

“Your life is in your hands. No matter where you are now, no matter what has happened in your life, you can begin to consciously choose your thoughts, and you can change your life. There is no such thing as a hopeless situation. Every single circumstance of your life can change!” - Rhonda Byrne The centurion at the cross could have allowed this horrible situation to pull him down, but the moment he understood that Jesus is the Son of God, he chose life.

God has set life and death before you, Now choose life for the Lord is your life.

Psalm 33:20-22(NLT) We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone.

Luke 23:39-43(NLT) One of the criminals hanging beside him scoffed, “So you’re the Messiah, are you? Prove it by saving yourself—and us, too, while you’re at it!” But the other criminal protested, “Don’t you fear God even when you have been sentenced to die? We deserve to die for our crimes, but this man hasn’t done anything wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.” And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Both these criminals had a choice between life or death. One chose life, the other death. Both were in the same situation; both had the same opportunity to make their choice.

Make your choice today and choose life.

Jeremiah 29:11(ESV) For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
