What is man that you are mindful of him

David is amazed that even though humans seem tiny compared to the huge universe, God still cares deeply for them. In Psalm 8:3, David talks about the beautiful stars and moon that God made. He finds it amazing that in this vast universe, God still thinks about us. He says, when I look at the stars and the moon, why do You care so much about us humans? But then David realizes that God has given humans a special place in His creation. Even though we might seem small, God has made us powerful and honoured among His creations.

Job also wondered why God cares so much about humans. In Job 7:17-19, he asks: Why do You think we are important? Why do You watch over us every day and test us all the time? Can't You just let us be for a moment?

This idea shows how special we are to God. We're like His favourite child, Zechariah 2:8b(AMP) … for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.

Lastly, Ephesians 2:10 tells us that we're like a beautiful artwork made by God. He made us in a special way so that we can do wonderful things for Him.

Ephesians 2:10(NLT) For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Is it not wonderful, that God is mindful of you, that you are the apple of His eye and that you are God’s masterpiece?
