God, you are the source of life, because of your light

Psalm 36: 7-9(GNT) How precious, O God, is your constant love! We find protection under the shadow of your wings. We feast on the abundant food you provide; you let us drink from the river of your goodness. You are the source of all life, and because of your light, we see the light.

‘When reading these verses, we immediately see the greatness of God toward us. His love, protection, abundance, and goodness are available to us. God is the source of life, and because of that, we can access His light. Isn't this amazing? Because of God’s light, we can see the light even when it's dark around us, when we feel down and out, or when life seems difficult. Apart from God, all our understanding is only darkness.

1 Peter 2:9(NLT) But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

John 8:12(ESV) Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Psalm 18:28(ESV) For it is you who light my lamp; the LORD my God lightens my darkness.

In conclusion, God offers the truest form of life available. When we give ourselves to Him and walk in the light He provides through His Word and His Spirit, we gain a clearer understanding of how to enjoy life to the fullest.

Today, remember God is the source of life. Walk in His marvellous light.
