31 July Genesis 50

God uses everything in our lives for the Good.

Getting even is God's work. In Genesis 50:19-20 (NKJV) Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? 20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. With these words, Joseph acknowledged God's guidance in his life. Looking back, he saw how God used the evil intentions of others for the greater good. God’s providence had overruled the wicked actions of others. Joseph recognised God's hand in his life, working to fulfil His good purpose.

Don't lose heart if you have been rejected by loved ones, misunderstood, mistreated, neglected, or forgotten by those you trusted or befriended. If life hasn't turned out as you hoped, and if you've waited on God without seeing His action or prayed without receiving an answer, don’t give up your faith.

There is a higher level of providence at work in our world and in our lives. If we love Him, live for Him, and serve Him, He will ultimately fulfil His purpose for our lives. God can take even the evil intentions of others and the injustices we face and turn them into good.

Only Jacob’s faith in God’s providence kept him going in those dark days. He kept believing in God, trusting and serving God even when he could not see His hand at work or feel His presence. It was only years later, looking back, that he could say “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good.”

God can use everything in our lives, the good and the bad. He can combine today’s happiness and tomorrow’s sadness, our defeats and victories, for our spiritual benefit. He can turn our failures, successes, accidents, and tragedies into something good.

Yogi Berra said, “It’s not over till it’s over.” God is never in a hurry, but He is never late. Always right on time.” If things haven't gone as you hoped, don't be discouraged. Trust God with your life, love Him, serve Him, and stay faithful to Him. Remember, He is still working in your life to fulfil His excellent plans.

I conclude with 1 Corinthians 2:9 (AMP) “but just as it is written , “Things which the eye has not seen and the ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him .”
