God will forgive their sin

2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV) “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Hebrews 8:12 (NLT) “And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.” The Hebrew word for forgiven literally means “lifted off.”

Psalm 32:1 (NKJV) “Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered.”

Romans 4:7 (NKJV) “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered;”

When something is covered, it’s hidden from view. God puts our sin out of His sight.

Psalm 32:5 (NKJV) “I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” And You forgave the iniquity of my sin.”

Psalm 103:12 (NKJV) “As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us”

Isaiah 38:17b (NLV) “You have put all my sins behind Your back.”

Isaiah 43:25 (MSG) “But I, yes I, am the one who takes care of your sins—that’s what I do. I don’t keep a list of your sins.”

Hebrews 8:12 (LB) “And I will be merciful to them in their wrongdoings, and I will remember their sins no more.”

Colossians 2:13-14 (NIV) “When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 having cancelled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.”

Repentance has two sides—turning away from sins and turning toward God. Confession of sins and a changed life are inseparable. Faith without deeds is dead.

Isaiah 59:1-2 (NIV) “Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.”

Spiritual revival, personal spiritual renewal cannot take place in the absence of repentance. Revival follows repentance.
