30 March 2023 - Your testimony must be shared

A testimony expresses God’s divine intervention and how it has changed lives. And testimonies end as verbal acts of praise. Having a strong testimony enables us to help others in their search for truth. Our testimony is a gift from God and must be shared.

Psalm 40:1-3 (NLT) I waited patiently for the LORD to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the LORD.

John 12:32 (NLT) “And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself.”

Psalm 119:46 (KJV) I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed. Revelation 12:11 (NLT) And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony.

II Timothy 1:8 (ESV) Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God,

Your testimony allows people to praise God. Ephesians 1:15-16 (ESV) For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the LORD Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers,

Your testimony is an act of worship. David’s whole life was testifying of the Goodness of God. It was a way of living and worship. Testifying is recommending God to someone as a great solution to any problem, which is an excellent worship act. Psalm 138:3 (NLT) As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength.

Your testimony confirms your faith in God. John 19:35 (NLT) This report is from an eyewitness giving an accurate account. He speaks the truth so that you also may continue to believe.

Your biggest testimony is that you have been saved.
