*DAY 1 — Waiting Is Trusting*

Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; hey will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

*Focus Thought:* Waiting on God is one of the deepest expressions of trust.

Human nature prefers speed, control, and immediate results. We want answers quickly, breakthroughs instantly, and prayers fulfilled according to our own timelines. Waiting often feels uncomfortable because it exposes how much we want control. But throughout Scripture, waiting is never presented as wasted time. Waiting is a spiritual process where God strengthens the heart and deepens trust.

Isaiah says: “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” This means waiting is not stagnation; it is renewal.

Hosting the presence of God teaches you that God is still working even when you cannot yet see visible movement. Many people assume nothing is happening during seasons of delay. But Heaven often accomplishes its deepest work in hidden seasons.

While you are waiting, God is strengthening your faith. God is refining your motives. God is shaping your character. God is preparing you for what is ahead. Waiting exposes whether your trust is truly in God or merely in quick results.

The enemy often uses delay to create frustration, doubt, impatience, and discouragement. He whispers: “God has forgotten you.” “Nothing is changing.” “Take control yourself.” But waiting in God’s presence teaches your heart to rest rather than to strive. Hosting God’s presence means learning to trust God’s process even when you cannot yet understand His timing. Patience is not inactivity; it is surrendered confidence. It is the quiet assurance that “God knows what He is doing.”

Waiting develops spiritual endurance by teaching you to remain faithful before the breakthrough arrives. Many people want God’s promises, but few want God’s process. Yet the process is where strength is formed. Isaiah promises that those who wait on God will “renew their strength.” This means waiting actually increases spiritual capacity. Instead of weakening you, God uses waiting to deepen you. His presence sustains you in the silence. And often, what God develops in you during the waiting becomes more valuable than the thing you were waiting for. Waiting well means remaining close to Him while trusting His perfect timing.

Action for Today: Resist the urge to rush outcomes today. Pause and consciously trust God’s timing.

Prayer Lord, teach me to wait well. Help me to trust You when answers seem delayed. Renew my strength as I rest in Your presence and timing. Amen.
