Matthew 5:4 (MSG) “You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.”
When you live without Jesus, you live a trivial life. It does not matter where you are; when Jesus is in the picture, life will be blessed.
Matthew 5:5 (MSG) “You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are—no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought.”
Real contentment can only be found in God, in the presence of Jesus. You can find contentment only in Christ and in striving to serve Him. Contentment can’t be found in God’s creation or in things like people, possessions, or money. Those things may hinder your pursuit of true happiness and contentment.
Hebrews 13:5 (ESV) Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
1 Timothy 6:6-12 (AMP) But godliness actually is a source of great gain when accompanied by contentment . For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it, either. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. But those who crave to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction . For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. But as for you, O man of God, flee from these things; aim at and pursue righteousness , godliness , faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith ; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
