DAY 6 — Seek Him with All Your Heart
Scripture: Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV) “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
Focus Thought: Intimacy deepens when we pursue God with sincerity and focus.
God does not hide Himself from those who genuinely seek Him. Jeremiah 29:13 is a promise rooted in God’s desire to be found. Wholehearted seeking is not about striving harder, but about turning our hearts fully toward Him with sincerity and intention. God responds to hunger, not perfection.
In a world filled with constant distractions, wholehearted seeking requires choice. It means setting aside competing voices, divided attention, and half-hearted devotion. When we seek God with our whole heart, we are choosing Him above busyness, comfort, and convenience. This kind of pursuit creates space for deeper encounter and clearer spiritual awareness.
As we remove distractions and give God our undivided attention, we discover that He is already near. Seeking leads to finding—not because God was distant, but because our hearts become attentive. Intimacy grows when our desire for God outweighs everything else, and our focus shifts from doing more to wanting Him more.
Action for Today: Identify one distraction to remove today—something that competes for your time or attention. Use that time to deliberately seek God in prayer, Scripture, or quiet reflection.
Prayer: Lord, I want to seek You with all my heart. Help me to remove distractions and focus my attention on You. Stir a deeper hunger within me, and lead me into greater intimacy with Your presence. Amen.
Reflection Question: What difference did wholehearted seeking make in your awareness of God today?
Journal Prompt: Write about what you set aside in order to seek God today. How did this intentional focus affect your thoughts, emotions, or sense of closeness with Him?
