16 September Psalm 139

Every day of my life is recorded in Your book!

Psalm 139:16(TLB) You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in Your book! God knows absolutely everything about us.

Psalm 139:1-6(TLB) O Lord, You have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit or stand. When far away, You know my every thought. You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment, You know where I am. You know what I am going to say before I even say it. You both precede and follow me and place Your hand of blessing on my head.

Ephesians 2:10(NKJV) For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

How many days do you have left? You don’t know. No one does, except God. He knows the exact number of years and days that you have left on this earth. Most people don’t like to talk about death. However, knowing God and His plan for our lives, we should be freed from the fear of death to fully live the life that God has planned for us.

We are never out of God’s sight. Psalm 139:5-8(TLB) You both precede and follow me and place Your hand of blessing on my head. This is too glorious, too wonderful to believe! I can never be lost to your Spirit! I can never get away from my God! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the place of the dead, you are there.

He guides us. Psalm 139:9-10(TBL) If I ride the morning winds to the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, your strength will support me.

God is never limited or intimidated by my circumstances. Psalm 139:11-12(TBL) If I try to hide in the darkness, the night becomes light around me. For even darkness cannot hide from God; to you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are both alike to you.

God knows us. He knows everything about us. God planned me, built me, watches over me, and can steer me back on track when I wander from His purpose. Psalm 139:23-24(TLB) Search me, O God, and know my heart; test my thoughts. Point out anything you find in me that makes You sad, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

“From his perspective, God can see past, present, and future all at once. This should give us great confidence in God. It’s comforting to know that He knows everything that is going to happen in my life. He not only knows about the future; He's also there in the future. He not only walks with us day by day; He can also walk in our future. God is already prepared for everything you’re going to face tomorrow, next week, and next month. What the future holds may surprise us, but it doesn’t surprise God.” - Rick Warren

God knows exactly what you need because He’s already seen what you’re going to face. And He will provide for you.

In reflecting on the divine knowledge and presence that guides every moment of our existence, we find profound comfort and assurance. The scriptures remind us that God’s understanding of our lives extends beyond mere observation; He actively participates in guiding, supporting, and preparing us for the journey ahead. In recognising God's omnipresence and omniscience, we learn to live our lives with a deeper sense of purpose and confidence, trusting in His plan for us. This trust frees us from the fear of the unknown, including death, and empowers us to embrace the fullness of life with faith and courage. God's eternal perspective offers us a foundation of peace and hope, knowing that our days are held securely in His loving hands, and that every step we take is a step towards fulfilling the divine plan He has laid out for each of us.
