15 February 2024 - Jesus the Author of Life

Acts 3:15(NIV) You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.

Author is the root word in authority. Who is the author of my life? Who is the authority? You have to choose Jesus as the authority in your life daily.

Judges 21:25(The Message) At that time there was no king in Israel. People did whatever they felt like doing.

Make Jesus the king of your life. Jesus is the author of life, the first leader, the pioneer, the founder - both of our lives and of our faith.

As the Author, Jesus is in complete control of our lives. He knows the beginning and He knows how it’s going to end. Nothing that happens to us takes Him by surprise.

Romans 8:28(NLT) And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Acts 17:24-25(NLT) He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man-made temples, and human hands can’t serve his needs—for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need.

Ecclesiastes 3:11(NLT) Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.

Ephesians 2:10(NKJV) For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Jesus made the necessary provisions whereby we can follow Him as author of life and walk by faith. Therefore, He is the author of your and my life.

Jesus is the author of eternal life. He was the first to rise from the dead, having conquered death, so that we could follow in His steps, and live for ever with Him.

John 1:4(NKJV) In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

John 5:24(NKJV) Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

Hebrews 5:9(NKJV) And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.

Jesus is the author of our faith, author of eternal life, and the source of salvation. If we obey Jesus, we have access to the source of salvation.
