Romans 12:2(AMP)_ And do not be conformed to this world , but be transformed and progressively changed by the renewing of your mind , so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect ._

What is mind renewal? Renewing your mind is the process of exchanging lies for the truth. It’s the exchange of your natural way of thinking for God’s way of thinking.

In the issue of our minds that need to be renewed, is once again echoed Ephesians 4:23(AMP) and be continually renewed in the spirit of your mind .

This is the fundamental problem of the mind that needs to change through the work of the Holy Spirit.

Titus 3:5(AMP) He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we have done, but because of His own compassion and mercy, by the cleansing of the new birth (spiritual transformation, regeneration) and renewing by the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:5(AMPC) For those who are according to the flesh and are controlled by its unholy desires set their minds on and pursue those things which gratify the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit and are controlled by the desires of the Spirit set their minds on and seek those things which gratify the Spirit.

Renewing your mind aligns with the truth of God’s Word by learning to recognise the enemy’s lies, replace them with the truth of God’s Word and then reinforce that truth every time the enemy comes at you with those same lies.

Transformation through renewed minds comes as believers expose themselves to God’s Word.

Joyce Meyer says: “As you pray for the Holy Spirit to make you aware of thoughts that come into your mind that don't line up with God's Word, you'll begin to realise when those thoughts come and you can renew your mind with the Word.”

I conclude with: “Renewing the mind is a little like refinishing furniture. It is a two-stage process. It involves taking off the old and replacing it with the new. The old is the lies you have learned to tell or were taught by those around you; it is the attitudes and ideas that have become a part of your thinking but do not reflect reality. The new is the truth. To renew your mind is to involve yourself in the process of allowing God to bring to the surface the lies you have mistakenly accepted and replace them with truth. To the degree that you do this, your behaviour will be transformed.” - Charles Stanley
