12 September Psalm 135

God is more powerful and greater than any other so-called god

Psalm 135:5(NLT) I know the greatness of the LORD — that our Lord is greater than any other god.

Exodus 18:11(NLT) I know now that the LORD is greater than all other gods, because he rescued his people from the oppression of the proud Egyptians.”

Psalm 113:4-9(MSG) GOD is higher than anything and anyone, outshining everything you can see in the skies. Who can compare with GOD, our God, so majestically enthroned, Surveying his magnificent heavens and earth? He picks up the poor from out of the dirt, rescues the forgotten who’ve been thrown out with the trash, Seats them among the honored guests, a place of honor among the brightest and best. He gives childless couples a family, gives them joy as the parents of children. Hallelujah!

Deuteronomy 10:17(ESV) For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe.

1 Chronicles 16:26(ESV) For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the LORD made the heavens.

In the New Testament, we also find the phrase Lord of lords. Revelation 19:16(ESV) On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.

God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - is the King of kings and Lord of lords. Outside of this God, there is no other.
