12 October 2023 - Do you know God’s power?

God has power over nature. God parted the waters of the sea for His people to travel through on dry land. When His people were hungry in the wilderness, He gave them bread from heaven. When the disciples were in a dangerous storm at sea, He calmed the wind and the waves. When His people needed water, He gave them water from a rock.

God has power over situations. Though Sarah was infertile God gave her a son. Genesis 18:13-14 (NET) The Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Will I really have a child when I am old?’ Is anything impossible for the Lord? I will return to you when the season comes round again and Sarah will have a son.”

When Paul was in prison, God opened the prison door for him. Jeremiah 32:17(NET) “Oh, Lord GOD, you did indeed make heaven and earth by your mighty power and great strength. Nothing is too hard for you!”

God has power over sickness. Matthew 9:21(MSG) She was thinking to herself, "If I can just put a finger on his robe, I'll get well." Jesus turned--caught her at it. Then he reassured her: "Courage, daughter. You took a risk of faith, and now you're well."

James 5:14-15(NLT) Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.

Mark 11:24(NLT) I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.

Do you need healing? God’s healing power is for you! Jesus took care of our sickness and pain on the cross. Healing miracles still happen today.

Isaiah 53:4(ESV) Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.

Sickness and disease do not come from God. Even though sickness exists in this broken world we live in, He can use your circumstances for many different reasons. God has power to heal. Jehovah Rapha - the Lord your Healer provides physical healing. Exodus 15:26b(NLT) I am the Lord who heals you.

You can believe in physical, emotional, or spiritual healing because of what Jesus did on the cross. He suffered to make you whole. God’s healing power is available to you, He is for you!
