11 September 2023 - Spread out! Think big!

Isaiah 54:3(MSG) God says so! “Clear lots of ground for your tents! Make your tents large. Spread out! Think big! Use plenty of rope, drive the tent pegs deep. You’re going to need lots of elbow room for your growing family.”

God is ready to do bigger things in your life. Enlarge your tent, stretch your curtains, go to the next place that God wants you to go. Lengthen your cords, strengthen your pegs. Dwelling in tents was very common in biblical days, prior to the exodus.

Deuteronomy 19:8-9(MSG) When GOD, your God, enlarges your land, extending its borders as he solemnly promised your ancestors, by giving you the whole land he promised them because you are diligently living the way I’m commanding you today, namely, to love GOD, your God, and do what He tells you all your life . . .

God’s Word teaches us that He can do much more than what we can dream, imagine, or think, so why not think big?

Ephesians 3:20(ESV) Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, . . .

God wants to do a great works in your life but He will only go as far as you are willing to go. Just like building a home, you can only build as far as the land is prepared. Sometimes we limit ourselves when God has plans that are much bigger than we can even imagine. He has blessings that go far beyond our imagination and sometimes we let our imagination limit how far He can go.

It is time to expand your territory my friend. It is a time to clear lots of ground. God is not saying He is going to do it for you. It is you, who must do some work. It is you, who must make your tents large. It is you, who must spread out. It is you, who must think big!

Isaiah 54:4(AMP) Do not fear, for you will not be put to shame, and do not feel humiliated or ashamed, for you will not be disgraced. For you will forget the shame of your youth, and you will no longer remember the disgrace of your widowhood.

1 Corinthians 2:9(NIV) However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” - the things God has prepared for those who love him -

Deuteronomy 28:13(NIV) The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.
