11 October 2023 - God can do anything

Ephesians 3:20(MSG) God can do anything, you know - far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.

Everything belongs to God. Psalm 50:9-12(NLT) But I do not need the bulls from your barns or the goats from your pens. For all the animals of the forest are mine, and I own the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird on the mountains, and all the animals of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for all the world is mine and everything in it.

If you could ask God anything knowing that you would get it, what would you ask God? The reality is that you can ask God anything. There is nothing that He cannot do. God can handle anything that comes His way.

The main reason we do not receive from God is because we do not ask. James 4:2b-3(MEV) Yet you do not have, because you do not ask. You ask, and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your passions.

Nothing is impossible for God. Matthew 19:26(NIV) With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

Job’s story shows us his honest struggles through great suffering and the faith to make it through impossible situations. After all his difficulties, Job finally tells God, Job 42:2(NIV) “I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted.”

Job didn’t understand why he had to go through these things, but we see in his story he kept believing in that what he knew about God. His faith and trust kept him going through the struggle. We have all the proof we need to believe in Jesus and His capabilities. We know His Word and promises are true.

John 20:27b(NIV) Stop doubting and believe.

Whatever we think is impossible, God says He has no limits or boundaries. His power makes all things possible.

Isaiah 43:2(NIV) When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, the flames will not set you ablaze.
