10 January Philippians 2

Do everything without grumbling

Philippians 2:14-16(NIV) Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labour in vain.

The Amplified Bible says: Do everything without murmuring or questioning .

When we moan or complain about any task we do, the Amplified says that we actually question God’s providence. The word providence means the protective care of God or of nature as a spiritual power in our life. Sometimes when you feel overwhelmed know that you are in God’s plan, and that His plan is a good one. When we grumble and argue about a task, we are actually questioning God’s protection and care for us.

In verse 13 here in Philippians 2 it says in the NIV for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfil his good purpose. Know that in all things God is at work in your life.

In closing: Rest in Jesus! Matthew 11:28(AMP) “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened , and I will give you rest .
