Another year has passed, and the new year is almost here! It’s a new year and time for new and exciting things. For millions of people, a year means that the new year can be an opportunity for new beginnings or maybe even renewal.

We often hear everyone we know talk about their resolutions for the new year. Though many start the new year with exciting goals, very few are still on track by the end of the first month.

For many, this past year was filled with uncertainties and new obstacles. Yet, as the new year approaches, we can look to the Word of God for a fresh start and new beginning. As you enter the new year, focus on why God’s Word can inspire your faith and joy.

The best way to start the new year is to stand on the promises of God. Psalm 65:11(NLT) You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.

What a promise! God always wants our future to be bright, and He intends to surround us with abundance and blessing. Have faith in that intention as you go forth into this new year. Luke 1:37(NIV) For no word from God will ever fail. In this coming year, stand on the promises and the Word of God. It can’t fail.

2 Corinthians 5:7(NIV) For we live by faith, not by sight.

Psalm 16:11(ESV) You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Joshua 1:9(ESV) Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18(NIV) For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Bad times always pass, and what awaits us in the future will always be more glorious than we can imagine.

Deuteronomy 31:8(MSG) “God is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t worry.”

You don't have to fear the uncertainty of the future and what lies ahead. Have faith that God is always with you and will steer you in the right direction.

Job 8:7(CEB) Although your former state was ordinary, your future will be extraordinary.

James 1:17(AMP) Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights , in whom there is no variation or shadow cast by His turning .

Proverbs 23:18(ESV) Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.

It doesn't matter how we finish the year - the next year and all future years can be filled with hope, faith, and love from the Lord. We just need to believe. Have a great day.
