John 15:4a (NIRV) Remain joined to me, and I will remain joined to you.

John 15:11 (NKJV) These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

Luke 9:23 (NKJV) Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

To deny oneself means giving Jesus control over your life. Take up a cross means to deny our agendas and priorities daily and to gladly and willingly submit to Jesus – Paul said about himself: “I die daily.”

Ellen White said: - “To follow Jesus requires wholehearted conversion at the start, and a repetition of this conversion every day.”

In her book Thoughts from The mount of blessing, Ellen G. White writes on page 101: “If you will seek the Lord and be converted every day … all your murmurings will be stilled, all your difficulties will be moved, all the perplexing problems that now confront you will be solved.”

2 Corinthians 4:16b (NKJV) . . .yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. Ephesians 3:16-21 (NKJV) that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height – to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Galatians 5:16 (NKJV) I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

I conclude with Matthew 4:4 (ESV) But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
