WEEK 27 – GLORY

“Live to Reveal Reveal His Beauty”

Habakkuk 2:14 (NIV) "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea."

God's glory is the visible expression of His invisible nature. It is the manifestation of who He is, His goodness, holiness, power, love, wisdom, and beauty. When we host God's presence, we become carriers of His glory. His glory is not something we possess for ourselves; it is something we reflect. Just as the moon reflects the light of the sun, believers are called to reflect God's glory to the world around them.

DAY 1 — Glory Is God Revealed

Exodus 33:18–19 (NIV) "Then Moses said, 'Now show me your glory.' And the Lord said, 'I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.'"

Focus Thought: When Moses asked God, "Show me Your glory," he was asking for something far deeper than a supernatural experience. Moses was asking to know God more fully.

God's response is fascinating. He did not first show Moses power, miracles, or signs. Instead, He said: "I will cause all My goodness to pass in front of you."

This reveals an important truth about the glory of God: God's glory is the revelation of His character.

Many people associate God's glory only with dramatic manifestations, supernatural encounters, or extraordinary miracles. While God's glory can certainly include these things, it primarily expresses who He is.

His glory is His goodness revealed. His glory is His mercy revealed. His glory is His compassion revealed. His glory is His holiness revealed. His glory is His love revealed. Whenever God reveals His nature, His glory is displayed.

Hosting the presence of God means becoming increasingly aware of His character and allowing His character to shape our lives. The more time Moses spent in God's presence, the more he understood God's heart.

This is still true today. The purpose of God's presence is not merely to give us spiritual experiences. The purpose of His presence is transformation. Many people seek God's hand. Moses sought God's face.

Many seek God's blessings. Moses sought God's glory. Hosting God's presence means moving beyond simply wanting what God can do for you and toward desiring who God is. The more you behold His goodness, the more you begin to reflect His goodness. The more you experience His mercy, the more merciful you become. The more you experience His compassion, the more compassionate you become. This is how God's glory becomes visible through your life. People often wonder how they can reveal God's glory in everyday life.

The answer is simple: Reveal His character. When you forgive someone who hurt you, His glory is revealed. When you show kindness to a struggling person, His glory is revealed. When you remain faithful in difficult circumstances, His glory is revealed. When you love people who are difficult to love, His glory is revealed. God's glory is not merely something you experience in church. It is something you carry into your workplace, your family, your community, and every conversation. The world does not simply need to hear about God. The world needs to see Him. And God's glory becomes visible when His nature is expressed through His people. Hosting His presence means becoming a living reflection of His goodness.

The greatest evidence of God's glory in your life is not how gifted you are, but how much you look like Jesus.

Exodus 34:6 (NIV) "And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, 'The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.'"

God revealed His glory by revealing His character. The closer you walk with Him, the

more His character becomes visible in you.

Action for Today: Throughout the day, pray: "Lord, may everything I do reveal Your glory." Ask the Holy Spirit to help you display God's goodness in every interaction.

Reflection Question: Where did you see God's goodness revealed today, either through your life or through someone else?

Prayer: Father, show me Your glory. Let me see more of Your goodness, mercy, compassion, and love. Transform me through Your presence so that others may see Your character reflected in my life. May everything I do bring glory to Your name. Amen.

Journal Prompt: When people interact with you, what aspect of God's character do they see most clearly? What aspect would you like the Holy Spirit to develop more deeply in your life?
