17 July 2021 - The water that threatened the disciples; was under His feet

Matthew 14: 23 (ESV) “And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, 24 but the boat by this time was a long way from the land, beaten by the waves, for the wind was against them. 25 And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. 26 But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, "It is a ghost!" and they cried out in fear.”

Jesus walks on that which you are fearing. The disciples were fearing that they might drown. Jesus was walking on that which they feared.

Ephesians 1:19-21 (NLT) “I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. 20 This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honour at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. 21 Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come.”

You are not at the mercy of the enemy’s attacks. Don’t give him any credit, as if he has power and dominion over you. Remind yourself that in Christ, you are “far above all principality and power and might and dominion”

Romans 16:20 (NKJV) “And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.”

Luke 10:18-19 (NKJV) “And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

There’s an old song from Brownsville Worship, that says, Well, I went to the enemy's camp and I took back what he stole from me, I went to the enemy's camp and, I took back what he stole from me. You know, He's under my feet, Satan is under my feet.

1 John 3:8b, ESV “The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil”.

Isaiah 59:1-2 (NLT) 59 Listen! The Lord’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call.
